I had the opportunity to play around with my camera today and had a wonderfully beautiful day to do so! It just so happens that many of my tulips are up and blooming along with a few other flowers. But I decided to capture a few photos.. The first is the one that I have posted for the April challenge.
I love this photo. I love the background blurred greens and the crisp center of the flower! Beautiful! I did however snap some shots of several other flowers in the yard. I thought I would share those with you as well.
Another photo of a tulip in my garden that shows what lighting can do. Blurred background again (I must be getting good at that.....) and light from behind shining through the petals makes it much brighter.
I wish I knew what the name of each of my tulips are in order to share in the blog, but I don't so for now we go by color. Although I could probably find out from the lovely 5 page outline of what the Master Gardner planted and where and how to take care of them by month. Ah seems like too much work this early in the morning.
Randomly in my raised beds I have several tulips popping up through my herb section. One day I will begin replanting these bulbs but for now my empty raised beds are filled with a splash of color.
The vibrant reds are nifty as well. But my favorite flower is below. My son and I went to the park and he found a daisy, he wanted to give to me. So here it is!
I will be catching up the rest of my photos today or tomorrow for #photoadayApril challenge. Time to get back on track and maintain a schedule. Still needing to post on some teacher appreciation gifts, and my exercise status...Stay tuned.
I particularly love the colors and lighting of the third photo. Pretty!
